BUHAHAHA! Now, you have stumbled upon my Marilyn Manson page!

Well, now that you've seen and gotten some nice vampire anime information, it's time to move on to more better things. Such as....DUN DUN DUN ...MARILYN MANSON! I'll tell you now that Manson has been my favorite band since I was thirteen (I'm almost fifteen now) And I will continue to love them no matter what. Ah, well, enough chit-chat, let's learn all about the All-American Antichrist, shall we?

The history of Marilyn Manson: Once upon a time, there was a little boy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, who just a normal kid, just like you or me (well, maybe not necessarily me) He went to a Christian school but let's just say he didn't really fit in there. The boy was an outsider, not really wanting to fit into society. He loved Black Sabbath and KISS and in a way, wasn't such a normal boy. The boy was named Brian Warner. He was soon to become the all American Antichrist, the one the Christians want to ban from the society, the one your parents try to protect you from. Most people wonder though, how did he get his start? Well, Brian Warner, the little boy, soon moved from Fort Lauderdale to Canton, Ohio (which, coincidentally, was the birthplace of Charles Manson) and he become a man. He started out as a journalist, submitting pieces to local newspapers and magazines. But, he wanted something more. Brian had a dream, a dream to become a rock star. But, not just any rock star, he wanted to become the most lewd and most violent rock there is. He decided to start a band. He gathered up some people for his band. Their names were Brian Tutnick, Perry Pandea, Brad Stewart, and Fred Streithorst. But, that's when the true tradition of Marilyn Manson came alive. Brian Warner decided to change his name. He decided on Marilyn Manson, which came from the fashion icon Marilyn Monroe and serial killer Charles Manson. Soon, the other band mates took on the trend of changing their names. They took first names from fashion icons or pop stars and last names of serial killers. Brian Tutnick became Olivia Newton-Bundy (taken from actress Olivia Newton-John and serial killer Ted Bundy) Perry Pandea turned into Zsa Zsa Speck (where his name came from kind of slips my mind) Brad Stewart transformed into Gidget Gein (the first name I have no clue where it comes from, last name comes from serial killer Ed Gein) and Fred Streithorst became Sara Lee Lucas. Together, Marilyn Manson and The Spooky Kids was born. The band started playing in small local clubs where they got quite a lot of attention. Zsa Zsa Speck was kicked out a year later and replaced by Madonna Wayne Gacy (which came from pop star Madonna and serial killer John Wayne Gacy) a.k.a Stephen Bier. Madonna was formally called by John Wayne Gacy's serial killer nickname, Pogo. He had been a friend Manson met at a bar before Manson had even started the band. Pogo didn't join when the band was formed because he didn't have any money for a keyboard. Manson finally got his big break when Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails offered Manson and his band a record deal. Manson shortened Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids to just Marilyn Manson. They recorded their first album, Portrait Of An American Family in 1994 and it didn't do them much good. But Manson kept right on trying and finally got mainstream success when he produced the album Antichrist Superstar in '96. He continued making albums and produced many many more. Mechanical Animals  made its debut in '98, Holy Wood made its debut in 2000, and The Golden Age Of Grotesque (which won over a "Golden Age" of fans) premiered in 2003. Recently, Manson released his best-of compilation, Lest We Forget only last year.

What Members Make Up Marilyn Manson?

Well, let's see, where should I start?

Madonna Wayne Gacy (also known as Pogo or real name Stephen Bier) is the longest running member of Marilyn Manson. He's been with Manson since the very beginning. The instrument he plays in the band is the keyboards. He's also known to be very hyper as well.
Tim Skold is the bassist in the band. Not much is known about him except that he replaced longtime bassist to Marilyn Manson Twiggy Ramirez. He's also played in bands such as KMFDM, Shotgun Messiah, and made his own band, formally named Skold.
Mark Chaussee is the latest addition to Marilyn Manson. He plays the guitar and replaced former guitarist John5. No one knows much about him either except that he once played in Danzig.
Chris Vrenna is the current drummer for Manson but it is not known if he has yet fully replaced Manson drummer Ginger Fish. Chris plays in the band Tweaker and is a former member of Nine Inch Nails.
Ginger Fish is the current drummer for Manson as well but is supposedly going on a side project called Martry Plot. Ginger had to be replaced with Chris Vrenna when he suffered severe injuries when his drum set collapsed on a five-foot stage and well, he collapsed with it. He suffered a broken collarbone as well as a broken arm and nose.
Well, now that I've reviewed the current members, time to move on to the former ones.

Twiggy Ramirez was the longtime bassist and best friend of Manson. He co wrote and produced many albums with Manson but most unfortunately, when the Golden Age Of Grotesque came around, Twiggy did not feel that his heart was with the band anymore. He left Manson in 2003 and joined A Perfect Circle (he's left APC and now is on the new Nine Inch Nails album)
John5 was the guitarist for Manson and joined the band in 1998, around the time of Mechanical Animals. He replaced guitarist Zim Zum and soon got replaced himself as Manson found out he was submitting songs to other artists without the knowledge or permission of the band. He was fired and he now has a fully instrumental album out and a new band called Loser. He says he holds no grudge against Manson.

Zim Zum was the guitarist in 1997 and played on the Antichrist Superstar album. His run was only about a year and he was fired afterwards. The reason? Well, the reason is not known to me. It's also unknown to me what he's doing now.
Daisy Berowitz helped Manson form Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. The two met at a bar one night and became the best of friends. But, sometimes even best friends can have their differences. Daisy left in '96 due to creative conflicts and later sued Manson. Unfortunately, he lost the lawsuit.
Sara Lee Lucas was the first drummer to Marilyn Manson and the Spooky Kids. But, you can honestly say that Manson didn't like him all that much. They decided to fire him by setting his drum set on fire. Sara didn't show up the next day after that and he was replaced by Ginger Fish.
Gidget Gein was the first bassist to Manson and he lasted about two years or so. Gidget had a bad problem with drugs and was kicked out due to it. But Manson and Gidget have put the past behind them now and are like brothers to one another.
